Il \u00e9tait capable de se mesurer au Fokker Eindekker allemand et fut la monture pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e de plusieurs as. Nieuport-Macchi 11 (ex-Ni.1615) captur\u00e9 par les troupes austro-hongroises et enti\u00e8rement repeint. Nieuport 11 belge baptis\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Vampire\u00a0\u00bb.
