I created this model, my first car, for a friend and happy owner of a Nassau Blue ’66 Stingray. Just for the fun of it, I’ve drawn the car in all of the 10 colours that Chevrolet was offering back in 1966, based on a palette from a sales brochure I found on the web.…Continue reading 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star
I drew a new and substantially improved template for the P-80 Shooting Star. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the original version for comparison. 1. This aircraft was initially built as a P-80B-1-LO, and later converted to F-80C…Continue reading Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star

Fouga CM.170 Magister
1. “Athos 1” is the callsign of the leader Patrouille de France. In 1978, Cdt Amberg was Athos 1 and flew this Magister. I don’t know which serial his aircraft bore, so I chose 456 VL, which did fly with the PAF. Note that the aircraft has had the instructor’s periscope removed. Also of note,…Continue reading Fouga CM.170 Magister

Polikarpov I-16 ‘Rata’
I created this model for an article to appear on capturedplanes.net. Naturally I’ll make a few other birds in addition to the one originally planned and add them here. This new drawing was also a chance to test some new highlighting and shading techniques as well as new weathering renditions. I am rather happy with…Continue reading Polikarpov I-16 ‘Rata’
