Clostermann’s Hawker Tempest Mk V “Le Grand Charles” (cont’d)
NB: This profile is incorrect and has been updated. Please read this post for extra information. Last week I posted a profile of Clostermann’s SN222, explaining that the aircraft later received additional markings and a brighter shade of red for the roundel and fin flash. This is how “Le Grand Charles” appeared after the night of…Continue reading Clostermann’s Hawker Tempest Mk V “Le Grand Charles” (cont’d)
Clostermann’s Hawker Tempest Mk V “Le Grand Charles”
NB: This profile is incorrect and has been updated. Please read this post for extra information. Clostermann is arguably the most famous Tempest ace. SN222 is one of the Tempest Mk V Series 2 he flew and is represented as it looked in early May 1945. During the night of 8/9 May, the aircraft received the…Continue reading Clostermann’s Hawker Tempest Mk V “Le Grand Charles”
F4F Wildcat revisited
Some 11 years after having created my first F4F Wildcat profiles, I’ve had the opportunity to create a brand-new template for Grumman’s very under-rated fighter. For the moment, I’ve only created the base template for the late FM-2 variant, but the more classic F4F-4 and F4F-3 should follow next. Click on the image to view it…Continue reading F4F Wildcat revisited

He was awarded the Distinguished…Continue reading Ginger Lacey’s Hurricane Mk I V7357
Work in progress: Mitsubishi A6M Zero
Working on a commission, I’ve almost finished the template for the legendary Mitsubishi A6M2 Type 21. Once I’m done, I’ll have to move on to other projects so I don’t know when I’ll be able to present actual finished profiles rather than this somewhat sad all-grey template. 🙁 Paints used on Japanese aircraft during World…Continue reading Work in progress: Mitsubishi A6M Zero

Work in progress: B-17E Flying Fortress
One of the several ongoing projects I’m working on is the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. Since the Fortresses often had interesting nose art and markings, I decided to make the fuselage separately from the wings and engines so that I can show the complete nose art in case it is masked by the engines.
T-6 Texan templates ready & new projects
Well, I’ve finished the templates for two T-6 Texan variants: the AT-6D (actually the antenna post is missing) and the famous T-6G version. Profiles of these will be coming soon, but will probably have to wait after Christmas as I have a very large workload. I’ve started working on the B-17 Flying Fortress template, and…Continue reading T-6 Texan templates ready & new projects
