The Spitfire Mk XVI was a variant of the Spitfire Mk IX powered by a Merlin 266 engine license-built by Packard in the United States. These profiles were created for the book Squadrons! No. 29 – The Supermarine Spitfire Mk XVI – The Dominions by Phil H. Listemann.
