Col. Al Whitley’s F-117A “The Toxic Avenger” during the Gulf War
This aircraft (s/n 84-0813) was assigned to Colonel Alton Whitley, CO of the 37th Tactical Fighter Wing during the Gulf War , and was nicknamed “The Toxic Avenger”. One of the several ongoing projects I’m working on is the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. Since the Fortresses often had interesting nose art and markings, I decided to make the fuselage separately from the wings and engines so that I can show the complete nose art in case it is masked by the engines.
