The Tucano is a very successful trainer/light attack aircraft designed by Embraer. It has been widely exported and is notably used by Brazil, France and Great-Britain.
1. The first Tucano received by the French were painted in a lively red and white scheme. This aircraft was operated by the EPNAA 05.312 (Flight and Navigation School of the Air Force), based in Salon-de-Provence.
2. This aircraft also belongs to the EPNAA but carries the later paint scheme of dark blue-grey.
3. This aircraft aircraft is the lead ship of the “Smoke Squadron”, which is the popular name of the Brazilian Esquadrão de Demonstração Aérea. The team has been flying Tucanos since 1982. This paint scheme was introduced in 2002.
