The Spitfires of the Eagle Squadrons

Yanks in the Royal Air Force ! Before the US entered the war, many American pilots fought for the United Kingdom as part of the Eagle Squadrons: No 71, 121 and 133 Squadrons of the Royal Air Force. Initially equipped with the Hawker Hurricane, these units later converted to the superb Spitfire.

The Eagle Squadron Spitfire profiles were created for the book “Squadrons ! No 25 – The Supermarine Spitfire Mk V – The Eagle Squadron” by Phil Listemann.
